Install a TechFix skill in under a minute

Download a zip, unzip it into your agent’s skills folder, and describe your problem. Same steps for every skill; each skill’s page has its exact commands.

1. Pick a skill and download it

Every skill is a zip with one folder inside: a SKILL.md file that tells your agent what to do, small Python scripts that do the checking, and reference files. Everything is free during the launch.

Ship CheckAll four in one command, one verdictship-check-bundle.zipStep by step

Want everything? The Ship Check bundle has all five folders. Ship Check needs the other four next to it, so install the bundle rather than ship-check.zip on its own (Claude.ai is the exception, see below). Check a download with shasum -a 256 <file>.zip against SHA256SUMS.txt.

You need Python 3.8 or newer where your agent runs commands. macOS and Linux usually have python3; on Windows install Python from python.org. Nothing to pip install: the scripts use only the standard library. Git is used for the history checks.

2. Claude Code

  1. Unzip into your skills folder. For every project on this computer:
    unzip ~/Downloads/<skill>.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/
For one project only (commit it to share with your team):
    unzip ~/Downloads/<skill>.zip -d .claude/skills/
  2. Check it. You should see ~/.claude/skills/<skill>/SKILL.md.
  3. Use it. No restart needed: Claude Code watches the skills folder. If ~/.claude/skills did not exist when your session started, run /reload-skills. Then describe your problem in plain words, or type /<skill> (for example /ship-check).

3. Claude.ai (web and desktop)

  1. Turn on code execution. Settings > Capabilities, switch on Code execution and file creation. Skills need it. Skills are available on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (on Enterprise an Owner enables them first).
  2. Upload the zip. In the Skills section click Upload skill and pick the zip as you downloaded it. Do not unzip it. For Ship Check, upload all five single-skill zips, one at a time.
  3. Switch it on in your Skills list.
  4. Use it. In a chat, attach your project as a zip, or paste the error, alert or bill, and ask. In Claude.ai the scripts run in Claude’s sandbox on files you upload, not on your computer.

4. Cursor

  1. Unzip into ~/.cursor/skills/ (all projects) or .cursor/skills/ (one project):
    unzip ~/Downloads/<skill>.zip -d ~/.cursor/skills/
Cursor also reads ~/.claude/skills/, so a Claude Code install works in Cursor too.
  2. Use it. In Agent chat type / and pick the skill, or just describe the problem.

5. OpenAI Codex

  1. Unzip into ~/.agents/skills/ (all projects) or .agents/skills/ at the root of a repo:
    unzip ~/Downloads/<skill>.zip -d ~/.agents/skills/
  2. Use it. Mention it with $<skill>, pick it from /skills, or just describe the problem.

6. Other agents, updates and removal

If something does not work

The agent does not use the skill

Call it by name: /<skill> in Claude Code and Cursor, $<skill> in Codex. Check that the folder sits directly in the skills folder (~/.claude/skills/key-leaked/SKILL.md, not ~/.claude/skills/key-leaked/key-leaked/SKILL.md).

“python3: command not found”

Install Python 3.8 or newer. On Windows, if python3 is missing but py works, tell the agent to use py.

Claude.ai rejects the upload

Upload the zip exactly as downloaded (one folder inside, named like the skill). Check that code execution is on. Upload one skill per zip; the bundle zip holds five skills and is meant for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.

Ship Check says a skill is missing

All five folders must sit side by side in the same skills folder. Unzip the bundle again into that folder.
