Privacy policy

ShipSnag sells skills for AI coding agents. We collect as little as we can: no accounts, no ad trackers, and the skills themselves never send anything back to us.

Short version: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog show us how people use the site, with form fields and your email masked. Dodo Payments handles checkout and holds your payment details, not us. If you email us, we keep the email to help you. We don't sell your data. Questions or requests: support@shipsnag.com.

Who we are

ShipSnag (shipsnag.com) is an independent project based in India. For anything in this policy, email support@shipsnag.com.

What we collect, and why

1. Visits to this website

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and where they came from, so we know what is useful. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to tell visits apart. We have turned off sharing this data with other Google products, and we don't use it for advertising.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used: where people click, how far they scroll, and anonymised replays of visits, so we can fix confusing pages. Clarity masks everything typed into form fields, and we mask your email address on the order page. It sets cookies named _clck and _clsk. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Clarity runs without cookies unless consent is given. Microsoft processes this data under its privacy statement.

We use PostHog (hosted in the US) to see which steps people take, from a page visit to a checkout click to a purchase, and to replay visits to pages that confuse people. PostHog masks form fields and email addresses in replays, and blocks your email on the order page. It doesn't build a profile of you, since there are no accounts to link visits to. It stores a random visitor ID in a first-party cookie and your browser's local storage. PostHog processes this data under its privacy policy.

To opt out of any of these, block cookies for this site or use a content blocker. For Google Analytics you can also install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

2. Purchases

Checkout is run by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. That means Dodo is the seller on your card statement, handles tax, and collects your name, email, billing country and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number. Dodo shares the order with us: your name, email, country, what you bought and the amount. We use that to deliver your skill, answer support requests and process refunds.

3. Emails you send us

If you write to support@shipsnag.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and help you.

4. Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes your IP address and browser details to serve pages and protect against abuse. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends your IP address to Google when it fetches them.

What we don't collect

There are no accounts and no passwords. The skills run inside your own AI agent on your own machine. They don't contact ShipSnag and don't send us your code, keys or files.

Who processes data for us

We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@shipsnag.com from the address you used and we'll reply within 30 days. For payment data held by Dodo Payments, we'll pass your request on, or you can contact Dodo directly. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

ShipSnag is for developers and isn't directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the home page.
